Concept and Design Idea

MOAA Mountain House is an apartment within a hotel complex, designed to provide guests with the authentic warmth of a mountain home while simultaneously offering the experience of contemporary luxury and comfort. The core idea behind the project was to create a space that reconciles contrasts — an environment that is both rustic and sophisticated, intimate and representative.

From both an aesthetic and material perspective, the project is based on a carefully balanced combination of natural and contemporary elements. Rustic materials such as wood and expressive timber beams play a dominant role, giving the space authenticity, warmth, and a strong connection to the mountain surroundings. These elements are intentionally contrasted with contemporary furniture pieces, distinctive textiles, and modern finishes, resulting in a layered and dynamic interior.

The goal of the design was to provide users with a sense of peace, security, and relaxation, while also delivering a level of luxury aligned with contemporary hospitality standards. The spirit of the mountains and rustic living has not been suppressed, but rather reinterpreted and elevated — within a space that simultaneously respects tradition and celebrates a modern lifestyle.
